Recently, the Interdisciplinary Expert Advisory Seminar of College of Smart Energy was successfully held in the West Multi-function Building of the College.

The seminar brought together top experts from diverse fields including artificial intelligence, materials chemistry, electrical engineering, nuclear energy and environmental science. In-depth discussions were conducted on topics such as the development of the interdisciplinary discipline of "AI + Energy", the recruitment and cultivation of high-level talents, as well as industry-university-research integration during the 15th Five-Year Plan period.

Ma Dexiu, former Party Secretary of Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Huang Zhen, Member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Founding Dean of the college, together with ten interdisciplinary on-campus experts, attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Zhu Xiaohong, Party Secretary of the college.

This interdisciplinary expert consultation seminar represents an innovative initiative by the college to pool multi-party intellectual resources and address challenges in interdisciplinary education development. Going forward, the college will regularly leverage the expert think tank to further advance interdisciplinary collaboration and deepen industry-university-research integration. It will forge ahead resolutely in fostering new-quality talents for the energy sector and tackling core key technologies for energy digitalization, and contribute to national energy-power-building through concrete actions and tangible outcomes.
