Academician Huang Zhen led a team to the Central Research Institute of State Power Investment Corporation (SPIC) for exchange on collaboration

Recently,academician Huang Zhen, Founding Dean of our college and Member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, led a delegation to the Central Research Institute of State Power Investment Corporation (hereinafter referred to as the Central Research Institute) for a special exchange on university-enterprise collaboration.

Fan Sheng, Party Secretary and Chairman of the Central Research Institute, along with Shen Feng and Lu Yanghui, Party Committee Members and Deputy General Managers, and Chang Hong, Deputy Director, received the delegation and attended the meeting. Zhu Xiaohong, Party Secretary of the college, Tai Nengling, Vice Dean and Distinguished Professors and key faculty members from relevant research fields participated in the research and exchange activity.

Accompanied by Fan Sheng, Academician Huang Zhen and his entourage visited the Science and Technology Exhibition Hall of the Central Research Institute. Via real-time online video connection, they had an intuitive live view of the operation of cutting-edge research facilities covering energy storage, hydrogen energy, nuclear power and other sectors, and gained a comprehensive understanding of the institute's layout of forward-looking energy technologies and its industrialization achievements.

This visit and exchange has established an efficient, practical and regular communication channel between the university and the enterprise, further consolidated the foundation of collaborative innovation between the two sides, and clearly defined the key areas for joint research in clean energy and emerging energy industries.

Going forward, the College and the Central Research Institute will continue to uphold the principles of resource sharing, complementary advantages and win-win results. The two parties will integrate the university's strengths in research talents, theoretical research and technologies with the enterprise's industrial application scenarios and engineering transformation resources. They will jointly tackle core bottleneck technologies in the energy sector, accelerate the large-scale application and industrialization of cutting-edge innovative achievements, continuously inject core scientific and technological momentum into the industrial transformation and upgrading of SPIC, and support the national development of new power systems and new energy systems.
