Recently, the 2026 Development Strategy Consultation Meeting of the College of Smart Energy, Shanghai Jiao Tong University & State Power Investment Corporation (SJTU-SPIC) was convened. The meeting was attended by distinguished experts including Professor Xuan Yimin, Member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences; Professors Qian Feng, Luo An and Gao Xiang, Members of the Chinese Academy of Engineering; Professor Zhang Jiujun, Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada; Zhu Xinyuan, Deputy Secretary of the Shanghai Municipal Education and Health Work Party Committee and Director of the Shanghai Municipal Education Commission; as well as Chief Scientists of SPIC, Zheng Mingguang, Shu Guogang and Chai Maorong.

Yang Zhenbin, Secretary of the CPC Shanghai Jiao Tong University Committee, attended the meeting and delivered an address. The consultation meeting was presided over by Zhu Xiaohong, Party Secretary of the College of Smart Energy. Professor Huang Zhen, Founding Dean of the College, delivered a concluding speech.

He fully recognized the fruitful achievements made by the College of Smart Energy in advancing interdisciplinary integration, integrated industry-education development, and the integration of research and practical application.

He noted that as a distinctive college jointly built by Shanghai Jiao Tong University and State Power Investment Corporation (SPIC), the College has positioned itself on university-enterprise collaboration since its inception. Deep integration between university and enterprise, interdisciplinary development, and work-study alternation constitute its inherent educational DNA and founding mission, paving broad avenues for the College to carry out systematic innovative explorations in disciplinary development, talent cultivation, and scientific research innovation.Always focusing on the genuine problems and real demands of industrial sectors, the College has built an integrated industry-university-research platform for smart energy.
