The 5th session of the Catalysis & Electrocatalysis Seminar Series, was successfully hosted on July 3. Centered on the theme From Interface to Industry: Systems, Characterization & Sustainability, the event took place as a lunch seminar in Room 405, West Teaching Building.

Presided over by Chair Professor Nicolas Alonso-Vante of the college, the forum featured three keynote speakers: Associate Professors Tan Zhe and Li Ang, as well as Assistant Professor Hao Zhimian from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. Over 20 participants attended the activity, including faculty and students engaged in relevant research fields, together with administrative staff .

This seminar centers on the integrated development of fundamental scientific research and industrial applications, focusing on core areas including advanced electrochemical characterization techniques, process scale-up and system evaluation.

The conference conducted in-depth discussions on cutting-edge technologies such as in-situ characterization, which enables dynamic observation of catalysts under real reaction operating conditions. Meanwhile, participants exchanged views on pivotal industrialization topics covering process scale-up, system analysis, techno-economic assessment and life cycle evaluation. The event bridges the communication gap between fundamental interface research and engineering-scale applications.
