To build a high-standard academic exchange platform and foster exchange of research ideas as well as academic collaboration, the 16th "Wisdom · Dialogue" Faculty Salon of the college was held in the lecture hall on the auxiliary 2nd floor of the West Multi-function Building on June 15, 2026.

The event specially invited Professor Hou Yunhe from the University of Hong Kong to deliver a special lecture. Tai Nengling, Vice Dean of the College, attended the salon. More than 50 participants gathered at the venue, including young scholars from Hong Kong, China and other top universities in Shanghai, faculty members, postdoctoral researchers and relevant administrative staff of the college. The salon was presided over by Assistant Professor Wang Jun from the New Energy Power System Research Center of the college.

Professor Hou Yunhe is a renowned expert in the field of power system resilience and an IEEE Fellow. He currently serves as a tenured professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Hong Kong. Possessing profound academic attainments, he will join Virginia Tech in the United States as a tenured professor.

This session of the "Wisdom · Dialogue" Faculty Salon brought cutting-edge academic updates in power systems to all faculty members of the college and built a bridge for academic communication. The college will continue to rely on this series of salon events to conduct high-level academic exchanges on a regular basis, steadily expand external communication channels, encourage faculty to devote themselves to in-depth research and interdisciplinary exchanges, continuously boost the vitality of scientific and technological innovation, and support the developments of the college.
