On April 10, the first session of the Workshop Series on Catalysis and Electrocatalysis, themed "Foundational Reactions & Classic Catalyst Design", successfully concluded in the form of a luncheon seminar at the Lecture Hall of the West Multi-Functional Building.

Professor Feng Yongjun, Vice Dean for Research and Director of the Department of Applied Chemistry at the College of Chemistry, Beijing University of Chemical Technology, was invited as the keynote speaker. More than 30 teachers, students and staff from relevant research directions and functional departments of the college attended the event, which was chaired by Professor Nicolas Alonso-Vante, Chair Professor of Shanghai Jiao Tong University.

As the inaugural event of the Workshop Series on Catalysis and Electrocatalysis, this activity has successfully built a high-quality platform for international academic exchanges, effectively broadened the academic horizons of faculty and students in the college in the field of electrocatalytic catalysts, and further consolidated the theoretical foundation of relevant research directions. It has laid a solid foundation for the college to carry out international research cooperation, promote joint talent training, and support scientific research and innovation in the new energy and carbon peaking and carbon neutrality fields.

Subsequent seminars in the series will continue to focus on cutting-edge hot topics in catalysis and electrocatalysis, and launch progressive academic activities successively to build a broader platform for academic exchange and development for faculty and students.
