On March 31, 2026, Tian Lin, Deputy Director of the Science, Technology and Digitalization Department of State Power Investment Corporation (SPIC), and his delegation visited the College of Smart Energy for a special symposium focused on deepening university-enterprise scientific research cooperation. Huang Zhen, Founding Dean of the College of Smart Energy, presided over the meeting.

The attendees included Zhu Xiaodong, Chairman and Party Secretary of SPIC Digital Technology, as well as Party Secretary and Chairman of China Energy Integration; Lu Yanghui, Party Committee Member and Deputy General Manager of SPIC Central Research Institute; Guo Rong, Party Committee Member, Deputy General Manager and Chief Engineer of the Energy Research Institute; Qin Ling, Vice President of the Talent Academy; Zhu Xiaohong, Party Secretary of the College of Smart Energy; Tai Nengling, Vice Dean; Chen Jiu, Deputy Party Secretary; Wu Yang, Vice Dean; Fei Hongbo, Deputy Party Secretary; and representatives from relevant departments of both sides. All participants jointly outlined a blueprint for future cooperation.

This exchange further consolidated consensus on cooperation, clarified key tasks, and refined progress timelines, laying a solid foundation for in-depth collaboration in the future.

Moving forward, State Power Investment Corporation (SPIC) and the College of Smart Energy will pursue the integrated development of education, science and technology, and talent cultivation. Focusing on the core fields of energy transition and technological innovation, both sides will give full play to SPIC’s industrial resource advantages and the comprehensive strengths of Shanghai Jiao Tong University in scientific research, education and talent training.

The two parties will conduct all-round collaboration in key areas including technological breakthroughs, joint platform development, research achievement transformation, and talent training. They strive to build a benchmark for integrated university-enterprise innovation and contribute solid strength to the construction of a technological powerhouse and a secure, high-quality energy system.
