Great News! Associate Professor Yang Huijun of Shanghai Jiao Tong University Makes the List of  2025 “Highly Cited Researcher”

Clarivate Analytics recently released its 2025 “Highly Cited Researcher” list, with Associate Professor Yang Huijun from College of Smart Energy at Shanghai Jiao Tong University selected in the Cross -Field category.

  The list of “Highly Cited Researcher” is compiled by Clarivate's Institute for Scientific Information through rigorous evaluation and selection based on citation data from the Web of Science Core Collection. It recognizes natural and social scientists who have made significant contributions to their disciplines and exerted global influence. Scientists included in the list have research outputs that rank in the top 1% globally in terms of citations within their respective fields and corresponding years. This signifies that these scholars possess high global influence in their research domains and have made outstanding contributions to the advancement of these fields.

Yang Huijun, Associate Professor at College of Smart Energy, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, focuses on electrochemical energy storage research. He earned his Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Shanghai Jiao Tong University under the supervision of Professor Wang Jiulin, and obtained his PhD from the University of Tsukuba in Japan in 2021, advised by Professor Zhou Haoshen. He has conducted postdoctoral research at the National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology (AIST) and the University of Tokyo in Japan, and received the JSPS Postdoc Fellow grant in 2022.

His long-term research focuses on cutting-edge topics, including key materials for high-energy-density metal batteries, reversibility regulation of metal anodes, and electrode interface engineering. Based on previous innovative achievements, he has published more than 35 papers as the first or corresponding author in top journals such as Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. (6 papers), Adv. Mater. (3 papers), Energy Environ. Sci. (4 papers), Proc. Natl. Acad. Sci., Nat. Commun. (2 papers), and ACS Nano. (2 papers). One-third of these papers have been selected as ESI Highly Cited Papers, with over 7,200 citations (Google Scholar), an H-index of 39, and 9 authorized patents.
