On July 9, Thomas Hirth, Vice President of Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Germany, led a delegation to visit our college. Academician Zhen Huang, Dean of College of Smart Energy, Liang Guo, Deputy Director, Division of Global Cooperation and Exchange of SJTU, Chen Zhang, faculty member of the college, and the person in charge of the International affairs joined the meeting. The meeting was hosted by Zhen Huang.

The two sides introduced their respective development history, disciplinary advantages and scientific research achievements, and had in-depth discussions on academic exchanges, scientific research cooperation and talent cultivation. They expressed that they would actively promote mutual visits of teachers, academic lectures and joint seminars to further promote the exchange and collision of academic ideas.

Afterwards, the delegation visited the Energy Laboratory.

The visit of the KIT delegation promoted the cooperation between the two sides to enter a new stage. Both sides expressed that they will take this visit as an opportunity to fully utilize their respective advantages and jointly respond to the global scientific and technological development.
