On December 17, Peter Childs, fellow of the Royal Academy of Engineering and founding dean of the Dyson School of Design and Engineering of Imperial College, and Pengfei Mi, assistant researcher of Imperial College, visited College of Smart Energy to have in-depth exchanges on the direction of cooperation.

Academician Huang Zhen, dean of College of Smart Energy expressed his warm welcome to the visit of Imperial College delegation, and Gu Jun, vice dean of College of Smart Energy introduced the College's establishment background, talent training, scientific research achievements and the characteristic mode of integration of industry and education.

Peter Childs introduced the development history and layout of Imperial College. The two sides reached a preliminary consensus on the direction and mode of cooperation, and said that they would follow up through multiple forms of exchanges and discussions to promote the implementation of cooperation.
